I feel such relief! I finished "Tears of a Dragon." My wife is going over it for the second time, combing it for flaws, and she declares it the best of the four, and so do my children who have read it. Yes, I know that family members are considerably biased and desire to say good things, but after all the late hours over the past couple of months, I'll take any encouragement I can get.
Now my wonderful, talented editor will get her hands on it, and the book and I will bleed together. She is tough, but she's also almost always right. But we are extremely pinched for time, so please continue to pray that we can get this book out on schedule.

godisgood,
Thank you. It won't be long now until book 4 is out. Please keep praying for me. The editing process is difficult.
Glad you're enjoying the series.
Yeah, the spammers hit me pretty hard one day, then they stopped.
What inspired me? I had a dream about a boy who could breathe fire. My oldest son and I brainstormed an idea for a novel from that dream.
My passion is to convey important truths through stories, and this idea fit that passion.
wow, thats cool. I'm also writing a book (don't worry it'll have dragons in it pretty soon) heres the first two paragraphs:
Lanora, Her rider-beast saddled and ready, snatched up the last of the food needed for the trip. She stuck it in the saddle bags, the rider-beast shifting it’s weight impatiently.
“In a minute, Tregon,” said Lanora warmly. She patted his scaly neck and ran her finger’s over the spikes that ran down his back. He closed his eyes and snorted, a tuft of fire streaming out of his nostrils. Lanora easily lifted herself onto the saddle, which was over six feet away, and settled comfortably into it. She lightly smacked his rear with her crop and spurred him in the side. Tregon reared, his lion’s feet flailing wildly in the open air. Landing down on the earth with a powerful thud and a cloud of dust, Tregon galloped into the west. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting shadows on the dust covered ground. Tregon, the thunderous beat of his back hooves against the ground, Gracefully spread his bat-like wings and flapped them furiously. He lifted off the ground, swirls of dust pluming up from the weight of his wings. Riding an up-draft safely into the clouds, Tregon beat his gigantic wings once more and soared peacefully. Taking advantage of the steady ride, Lanora reached for her sketch book and pencil. She was at a challenging angle, but ended up with a decent sketch of Tregon’s back, head and wings. Looking down over the side, she took a snap-shot of a particularly interesting piece of landscape and held it in her mind. Drawing that into the background of Tregon’s portrait, Lanora began the tedious task of shading and detail.
The drawing ended up a quarter finished by the time Tregon needed a break and some water. He landed on his back legs and fell to the front ones by a crystal-blue river with a shady willow tree and some lush grass for Tregon to graze on. Lanora took a long gulp of water from her water skin and pulled a dublar fruit from the willow tree.

Oh, by the way, 'Aiolos' and 'Dragonchihuahua' are the same person (me!!), just using two different names.
aiolos,
Interesting story. It's a lot of fun to write about fantasy characters, isn't it?
yeah, it realy is. I seem to have a nasty habit of starting a story then never having time to finish. I guess its a good was to preserve ideas though. . . .
T-man, thank you for the kind words. I have written two other books, "The Image of a Father," and "Spit and Polish for Husbands." You can find out more about them at my author site, http://www.daviscrossing.com
