Beyond the Reflection's Edge

I have finished a second draft for the new book I'm writing for Zondervan. It's at about 103,000 words now, and I suspect it will probably finish at around 105,000 when I complete a third polishing.

Zondervan settled on a completely new series and book title. These aren't my first choices, but I think they're pretty good:

Series Title: Echoes from the Edge
Book #1 Title: Beyond the Reflection's Edge

Since I know the story, it's easy for me to see that these titles fit. I hope they attract browsers who don't know the story at all.

I have just a few days to do a final polish. The book is due at the end of the month. I appreciate your prayers.

I'm in a similar polishing stage with my novel. Interesting how, in going through the words, you find sentences you discover you don't need, and conversely, you also find you need to add a tag or a brief description to clarify something.

Your new titles are very good. I notice the common word in your series title and book title is "Edge" rather than "Time." Very intriguing. I'm eager to see how both words relate to the story.

One thing we writers must learn is that the editor has the last say in our titles. We can only trust it's a good one.

I agree with Jason. Your titles sound intriging. I'm looking foward to the book.

How was Colorado?

I'm with both Connie and CJ.

Its a good way to torture someone, though. Give them enough of a book to get them hooked, then snatch it away and tell them no more. :P
