Final Reviews Before "Bones" Release

I have three more reviews from pre-publications readers of The Bones of Makaidos. Now we wait for April 1. Only a week and a month until the book is released. I hope readers are as excited as I am.

The Bones of Makaidos is brilliant! It's amazing to see how God worked through each of the characters and how they have grown in faith, courage, and love throughout their adventures. If you don't think the Oracles of Fire series can get any better then think again, this book outdoes the rest! Prophesies are fulfilled and any questions from the last seven books are answered. The Bones of Makaidos is my favorite of Mr. Davis' books and I know it will be yours too.
—Taylor Ward (Age 15)

The Bones of Makaidos is a fitting end to the best series of books I have ever read! If you have read any of the books in the Dragons in our Midst or Oracles of Fire series this one is a MUST read. While I read I felt like I was in the story itself, crying with them, laughing with them, fighting with them. In the ultimate battle of good versus evil I felt joy at surprise reunions and sadness over the loss of loved ones. In the end I was left with a happiness that can only come from experiencing God at work in this world of ours. The Bones of Makaidos provides a Happily-Ever-After ending that is like no other and will leave you as the reader longing for an adventure like this.
—Rachel Tettleton (Age 16)

"I want you to win my heart. I want you to fight for me, sweat for me, bleed for me. I want you to know that you had to pay a valuable price for me, and that I am a treasure in your mind . . ." The Bones of Makaidos captures the hearts of readers, brings them into the lives of all the characters, and shows that God is always there and if you have faith he will reward you. I would recommend this book to everyone I know and think that every one would come out with a new light shinning in their eyes.

Three More "Bones" Reviews

The Bones of Makaidos is coming on April 1. Here are three more reviews from pre-publication readers.

With exciting twists, heartfelt experiences, and golden principles full of faith and truth, Mr. Davis brings his magnificent saga to a close. The Bones of Makaidos is full of memories from the previous books, but it’s also an amazing adventure in its own right. Dangerous, world changing, endeavors have captivated the lives of Billy, Bonnie, Walter, Ashley, Sapphira, and Elam. They have grown closer to each other, and stronger in their faith in Elohim. Now, together with the rest of the Oracles of Fire, they face their final battle, the fiercest challenge, preceding the ultimate reward. It was with excitement, yet a sort of trepidation, that I read this final installment. Somehow, I feel connected to these fictional heroes. So, it was with great sorrow I said my final goodbyes, and turned the last page as this inspiring story came to a satisfying conclusion, dissolving in a flame of glory.
—Bryce McLemore (Age 15)

After reading the Dragons in Our Midst series, and now the astonishing conclusion of the Oracles of Fire series, I know God has worked through Mr. Davis to deliver this beautifully heartfelt story of hope, faith, spiritual strength, and undying love.

In The Bones of Makaidos, action will spike your adrenaline, suspense will urge you to read on, sacrifice and salvation will bring you to tears, and the characters will encourage you to trust in God more than ever before. This finale will inspire you to become an Oracle of Fire.
—Regan Hickman (Age 15)

I laughed, I cried, I shared with each character's joy and suffering. I could not put this book down, even to go to bed. The Bones of Makaidos pulled me in from cover to cover. Bryan Davis has saved the best for last! This book is definitely one you don't want to miss.
—Sarah Pratt (Age 15)

More Reviews for The Bones of Makaidos

Bryan Davis has revealed through Dragons In Our Midst and Oracles Of Fire an adventure set apart, and this final book is no exception. In this final volume, everything falls into place beautifully, and its message of faith and bravery is one to treasure. Like all of his books, it carries profound real-world messages of faith and truth. The Bones Of Makaidos is a tale of love, courage, sacrifice, and redemption; a wonderful end to an awesome series. Both Mr. Davis books and his personal example have inspired me in my faith. Having been drawn into the adventures of Billy, Bonnie, and the others since Chapter 1 of Raising Dragons, all I can say is: What a ride!

-T. McCarville (Age 18)

The Bones of Makaidos is, in my opinion, the best book that Mr. Davis has written yet! The events in this book left me bewildered, and they completely change your outlook on this entire series. A lot changes, but that makes it even better. It's a work of art!

-Anna Bjella (Age 13)

Bryan Davis has done it again! I knew Mr. Davis was an excellent author, but I was amazed to find myself double taking and rereading pages as my jaw dropped. You will be up late into the night reading The Bones of Makaidos telling yourself, “just one more chapter” over and over again. Possibly Mr. Davis’ best yet!

~ Jacob Eggert (13 years old)

This book is absolutely amazing. It's thrilling to join in with all of these character's adventures, once again! I can't keep my hands away from the book. The Dragons In Our Midst/Oracles of Fire series always gets better and better each book. It's sad to know that this will be the last one, but it's great anyway! A must-read for sure!
~Danielle

After reading the rest of the Oracles of Fire and Dragons in our Midst books, I find The Bones of Makaidos to be a smashing ending. It's so nice to find not one, but two book series that are so enthralling, adventure-packed, inspiring, and God honoring."

The Bones of Makaidos Reviews

Reviews of The Bones of Makaidos are starting to trickle in from pre-publication readers. I'll post them here as they come in.

It is fitting for the last book in the Oracles of Fire to be the best. The Bones of Makaidos captured me from the very beginning. Bryan Davis's ability to vividly depict scenes is at it's best in the final installment of his best selling fantasy series. You will not be able to put the book down!

Grant Miller- age 15

This book is amazing. Words can't describe. I've cried more in this book than the other 7 put together - some were tears of sadness, but most have been tears of joy. Each time you read it it'll be just as powerful as the first time, if not more. It was really cool discovering what an oracle of fire really is, and why Bonnie's last name is Silver. All loose ends will be tied, and when you read the last page, you'll be left with a sense of satisfaction, a sense of peace that's hard to describe.

Connie Wolters - age 27

Beloved characters, both new and old, grace the pages of this tale and beckon you to enter their world one last time as they fight against the growing darkness around them. With hopelessness knocking at the doors of their hearts, the characters must trust in God to see them through and must learn that love never fails. The tapestry masterfully woven is finally complete and when you finish the last page, you will rejoice at seeing the characters you have known, perhaps for years, find their rest at the end of their long journey. But is it really the end?

Anne K. Riley - age: 19
