Dragons Found in Russia!

Readers in Russia are snapping up copies of a new book called Воспитание драконов. What is this? Dragons in our Midst?

Yes, it seems so.

Check these out!

I am in the process of planning a trip to Russia in order to promote these books there. Please pray for the planning and my journey. What a great opportunity!

My brother speaks Russian and is going to Russia this summer, I should see if he can find a copy.

First the UK and now Russia? It is truly... divine on how God is taking your books even to the corners of the earth!

That's so exciting!!! What were the other languages your books were in?
If I ever get my story published, I would love to see it in Japanese.
How about you, Bryan? Is there a language that you haven't seen your books that you would like to?

Bryan Davis said...

I would like to see them in many languages, but the biggest missing one to me is Spanish.

Very nice! I am really excited for you. I am sure your books will be a success in Russia! If they ever come out in Japanese, I might want to get myself a copy of that! Not being Spanish is kind of sad, because that seems like one of the other biggest languages around.

You going to have a translater? Or do most of them speak English pretty well?
Mr. Davis this is pretty amazing...you are all over the world spreading God's Word...I'm sure He is pleased

Yeah, I would think Spanish, Chinese, French and German are the other major languages.
Were your books translated elsewhere (I know about the UK)?

SO COOL! Congrats, Mr. Davis!

Bryan Davis said...

Jessica, I hear that Dutch is in the works, and French might also come about. We'll see.

Are you really involved in that or is it your publishers that really have all the control, and just tell you in passing?
I am really curious as to how this works.

Bryan Davis said...

The publisher hired a foreign rights agent. That person is taking care of it.

If it was published in Spanish, I'd buy a copy to improve my Spanish language skills. I bought a Spanish copy of The Lion, THE Witch and the Wardrobe once.

Mr. Davis,
I just recently finished reading "Dragons in Our Midst," and loved every second of the series. You are my favorite author! For the longest time, Tolkien and Lewis have held the top spots. I cannot wait to read "Enoch's Ghost" (I read "Eye of the Oracle" before DIOM). Your books have served to bring me closer to God, which I am so grateful for! Thank you so much!

Bryan Davis said...

Ellie, thank you for the comment. Your kind words are very encouraging.

Mr. Davis, I think it's awesome that these book have been translated to Russian! I'm currently in the process of learning Russian and would be very interested in having a Russian copy of them. Is there any way I could order them?

Bryan Davis said...

Michelle, if you can order in Russian, you can try these pages:

I will also try to get some copies of my own to send out, but I don't know how long that will take.

That is so exciting!! I have some missionary friends in Russia (Ukraine actually) and I'll tell them when I see them in a few weeks! I can't wait to read Bones of Makaiados also! I am sad to say I have yet to read it.

Shelby said...

Mr. Davis,
Well, I hope to be an author one day, so I know how much encouragement from readers means. I just finished 'Last of the Nephilim" yesterday, and just want to say it was even better than "Enoch's Ghost"!
