With the Kindle, you don't have to own a Kindle to get it for free. Amazon has programs you can download so that you can read Kindle books on your computer or several other devices.

The SAME can be said about the Nook book too as they make readers for iPad, OSX, Windows and Android as well.
Its not free anymore. Why is it NOT FREE
It was free for a few weeks back in January when this message was posted. I suppose all good things must come to an end.
