That. Is. AWESOME.
This is the best DIOM cover yet, in my opinion.
Can't wait for the book to come out!

Bytheway, if I pre-order it, would I get it on the release date?

Bryan Davis said...

I would mail it out as soon as I get my copies, which is usually several days before the release date.

Gabe M said...

sweet!

also, about those pictures you posted on your Facebook... are those movie concept art?

Bryan Davis said...

I am not saying what those drawings are for. Sorry.. :-)

Gabe M said...

Suspense! AAAAAAA!!! I think you feed off your readers' suspense, Mr. Davis. I actually kinda enjoy it, although it drives me insane. :)

Did you get funding for the movie?

Bryan Davis said...

We are still working on funding.

Sarah Pennington said...

Ooh! So cool! It's definitely the best. I think I like the CotB covers better than the DIOM or OoF covers.

What's this about a movie? Did I miss something?

Bryan Davis said...

There is no movie yet. We are working on raising money to make a movie based on Raising Dragons.

David Sampson said...

You mean you're not continuing with having an Oracle of Fire on the front? :D

I like the cover.

DioM fan said...

Really?? Truly? Best day of my LIFE!!! A movie!! I know it's not offical yet, but I'm sure it will happen.

Cool Cover!!!! Need to read tears of a Dragon so I can read the other books so I can read this!

There is a Facebook group for Bringing Dragons in Our Midst to the big screen(I think that's what it's called). Mr. Davis puts news for the possible movies up there whenever they give him liberty to. So become a member!

Anonymous said...

Wow! I'm like obsesssed with these books so a movie would be AMAZING!!!! I liked watching Billy and the gang grow in faith and in life! Thanks for the awesome books! I can't wait for this one and hopefully the movie! I'll be praying for you Mr. Davis!

Khoreia said...

So...I know you aren't answering questions about who's on the cover, but are we allowed to speculate? Cause I have a couple ideas about said cover (Which comes in second after BoM, I think). ;)

Bryan Davis said...

Khoreia, feel free to speculate.

Khoreia said...

Cool. :) The title is From the MOUTH of ELIJAH, and in Second Eden that one mountain was called Elijah. On the cover we can see a volcano erupting, which makes me wonder if it is indeed Mount Elijah, and if the boy (Matt?) is in Second Eden. What appears to be Listener's spyglass sort of affirms that, I think. And it seems the girl on the other side of the portal thing is holding Apollo.
How close am I? =D

Bryan Davis said...

I'm not telling how close. Maybe others will chime in with their opinions. :-)

readingrocks said...

oh my gosh! I can't wait for the book to come out I am dying for more DIOM!!! and a movie that would be so cool!!

Anonymous said...

All right so the boy and girl on the front are Matt and Lauren. The volcano erupting is Mount Elijah in Second Eden. I'm pretty sure... Am I right?

Anonymous said...

May I just say, you are an amazing writer! I've been reading these series since 2007, I'm a huge fan! I feel my faith growing with the characters as they grow. A movie would be soo amazing, I hope you get the money you need. And let me know where tryouts are! :-)

readingrocks said...

Mr. Davis I want to thank you for writing these books. They have helped me so much in walk with Jesus and the characters are truly magical as is the plot. You have inspired me to write. Thank you.

Bryan Davis said...

Anonymous, thank you for the kind words. If and when we have auditions, I will post the information here.

Bryan Davis said...

Readingrocks, you're welcome. It's a blessing to hear that my books have been helpful.

readingrocks said...

So... about the cover of the new book. The boy and girl are Matt and Lauren right? And the boundary between them is some kind of barrier between two realms. Are they in the birthing garden in Second Eden?

readingrocks said...

okay you said that you expect the book to come out in July or August. So is that July or August this year? Because I may cry if I have to wait till 2013.

Bryan Davis said...

This year. Just a few months.

readingrocks said...

THANK GOODNESS!!!!

DioM fan said...

Let's see, the army pants make me think tht the man is Matt, and the girl has dark hair as well as army pants which means it could be Lauren, but she could be someone else. And with apollo lighting up in the girl's arms that makes me suspect that apollo is making the portal which is why I'm a bit confused as to why both Matt and the girl have their armes raised as if to keep the portal from closing, unless the girl is an oracle of fire... The Maid maybe?

readingrocks said...

DioM fan. I like your idea about the girl possibly being The Maid. But if the girl is holding Apollo then it makes more sense for it to be Ashley or Walter. Since those two are the ones who use Apollo most often. I think we can agree that they are in Second Eden. The boy is reaching for a telescope on the ground. This we can assume was the same one that belonged to Listener. Then the girl could possibly be Listener but I guess all we can do is guess and speculate and just wait and see.

Gabe M said...

I'm 100% positive that it's Matt and Lauren.

DioM fan said...

readingrocks. Though it is true that both Walter and Ashley use Apollo the most both the girl and boy look too young to be eather, pluse other people have used Apollo in the past. Another thing to remember is though that it looks like Matt's in Second Eden the girl is not and since Listener lives in Second Eden the chances of it being her seem slim. Still only Mr. Davis would know so this is simply speculation. Also keep in mind that the girl is wearing camouflage pants so it's likely that she's from Earth, therefore she is most likely not Listener. It's even possible that she's someone else compleatly who we have not met before. Can't wait to read it.

Rosesonabeach said...

LOVE THE COVER INTIERLY. And im praying for the funding for this movie and if I win the lottery i will personly fund it for you . Lol.

I think that it is mt. Elijah and that it is matt in the frount with liseners spyglass bit it made me think why is her spyglass just laying around what if iseners been hurt or worse KILLED the girl is most likly lauren with appollo trying to find her lost brother put it makes me wonder how did matt get to second eden? Geuss ill just have to wait and read.

readingrocks said...

Okay you guys, let's not freak out about anyone being dead, yet. We can fully assume that it is Listener's spyglass we see and that the girl is holding apollo. Seeing in the background that there is a volcano (it is safe to assume that is mount elijah) erupting in the background we can guess someone got hurt but we should not worry about anyone being dead until we read the book. Does anyone reemeber what happened to Sorentine/ Tamara?

DioM fan said...

yes, I think she fell through a portal because when the gun platform fell through the portal she was inside or something like that. I also just noticed that if you look carfully the other side of the portal in the cover looks like the caves in Hades! eI'm so xited about the book and possible movie that I'm jumping off the walls!

readingrocks said...

Well spotted DioM fan! There also looks to be a patch of yellow flowers. OOOH!! idea. Maybe the girl got taped in side one of the Ovulum.

readingrocks said...

GASP!!! it not yellow flowers in the background it a tree! A tree that is on fire. It is the caves! And that is the tree that Sapphira planted like a thousand years ago.

DioM fan said...

YES YES!!!! I think it IS the tree!! Oh, I can't wait till it comes out! All this talk makes me soo exited! But I'm still not convinced that the girl is Lauren.

readingrocks said...

DioM fan, why are you not convinced that the girl is Lauren? It seems very likely that the girl is Lauren and the guy is Matt considering that the story is mostly about them.

readingrocks said...

I have evidence that it is Lauren. Look on her arm she has a bandage there. And in the last book she got shot in the arm. It is Lauren.

DioM fan said...

Ah, now I'm somewhat convinced, but not fully.

readingrocks said...

DioM fan,why are you not fully convinced? I gave you the prove.

DioM fan said...

Well... don't assume too much especially with book covers. Who knows, maybe Mr. Davis wants you to think that it's Lauren when a new character is the one on the front. But I do think that it's most likely Lauren, just don't get your hopes up to high.

readingrocks said...

Good point, and their are those two other anthrozils somewhere... so maybe it's one of them

DioM fan said...

Exactly.

Mr. Davis you are the best writer I know. The first real novel I ever read was Raising Dragons and I still think that your books are better than any others exept for the Bible.

Bryan Davis said...

Thank you, DioM fan. You are very kind.

readingrocks said...

Okay Mr. Davis I have to ask, are any of our theory's about the cover of the book right? Because I seriously want to know. Because I'm not sure I can wait until July or August to find out.

Bryan Davis said...

Sorry, rr. I'm not giving anything away at this time. :-)

readingrocks said...

Tears, ah well I guess I'll just have to wait till then and keep on imagining. I guess I can live with just being able to see the cover. SIGH!

I need help. I tried to get my friend to read this books. And she did but she got to Enoch's Ghost and stopped at the part where they talk about hell. She's atheist and I really want her to come to know God, but she seems so against. Please give advice.

Bryan Davis said...

It's tough for unbelievers to read about hell. That scene is very hard-hitting and emotion-packed.

I don't know this person at all so I am just guessing here. Maybe say that this is the only scene that takes place in hell, and when you get to the end you'll see that grace and mercy are the real emphasis in the story.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Mr. Davis, I've just been praying so hard for her to see God. I really want to share that with her.

Samuel said...

Can't wait! I've read em all so far and I'm sure to read this one.

Oh and a movie would be SWEET!

R said...

Hi Mr. Davis,

I absolutely love the Oracles of Fire, Dragons in Our Midst, and the Song of the Ovulum! I'm dying to get my hands on "From the Mouth of Elijah." I love Christian Fiction and these are one of the best I've ever read!!!! Keep writing! ;)How many books are you planning for "Children of the Bard"?

Also, I REALLY hope you can get enough funding for the movie. I would definitely buy it! :)

Bryan Davis said...

RAlex,

Thank you for the kind words. I am planning four books total in Children of the Bard.

Anonymous said...

I'm a BIG fan!! I LOVE The Bones of Makaidos! I read it in three days! Bye the way, I love your cover:).

Bryan Davis said...

Thank you. I'm glad you like the cover.

Samuel said...

Hi Mr. Davis, so I was wondering if I were to send some money for the fund raiser where would I send it? Oh and what does DIOM stand for?

Bryan Davis said...

Samuel, we don't have a way to collect donations. We are looking for investors who can invest millions of dollars. I thank you for your interest.

DioM stands for Dragons in our Midst.

Sarah said...

Mr. Davis, do you have a favorite character in your books, or is it just too hard to choose?

Bryan Davis said...

Sarah, it is very difficult, but if I had to choose, I would probably choose Bonnie.

Anonymous said...

Am I the only one who thinks the girl on the cover may be Tamara? It was just the dark hair and pants that got me wondering.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Bryan davis i love your DioM books and all of the sequels. i love your books but i beleive that it is best to not worry about when your next book comes out and if im a few months late so what i have a few less months to wait for your next book. I'm also just wondering is this to be the final series with billy and bonnie in it.

Bryan Davis said...

Yes, I think this will be the final series with Billy and Bonnie.

Samuel said...

can you please make one more series after this PLEASE!!!!! you know 4 series 4 books in each series. PLEASE!!!! I might Die without them (dramatic music).

Bryan Davis said...

Samuel, I plan for this series to be the last in this story world.

Anonymous said...

Oh :(. I'll miss it sooo much!!

Anonymous said...

Mr. Davis, this is for people like me who don't have facebook. You asked who people's favorite characters are and why. I love Sapphira- she held on to her faith, even through trials of all kinds. Shiloh- she taught me to have faith, even when things seem hopeless.
And the next is a tie between Walter or Listener. Walter knows when to be funny or when someone needs encouragement, and Listener is the sweet little girl who was willing to sacrifice herself to stop everybody's pain. I love that:).

Bryan Davis said...

Thank you for the input. :-)

Alissa said...

I don't have facebook either. I love Acacia,(hmmm)... Ashley, and Naamah:).

Kelsey said...

Mr. Davis, is Sapphira in From the Mouth of Elijah? She is one of my favorite characters. I noticed she wasn't exactly in the last one.

Bryan Davis said...

Kelsey, Sapphira is in the new book. She was in the previous one as well, so I'm not sure what you mean.

She is not, however, a major character in either book.

Kelsey said...

Well, I know she was in the last one, she just hardly showed up (at least that's what it seemed like to me. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not sure, I'll have to read it again). I guess that's more what I meant. Well, at least she's in the new one:). That makes me feel better:).

Anonymous said...

Hey, Mr. Davis? You said your wife is an editor, right? Would you mind giving me a little more information please? Example: how much does it cost? Thanks for your time!

Bryan Davis said...

My wife's editing services are explained at this link - http://susieeditor.blogspot.com/

Sarah said...

Mr. Davis, I have a question for you (this my seem strange, but I have to know :)!). Does Elam have long hair or short(normal)? I always pictured him with normal, until I thought about it the other day (that was probably the "style" in Noah's day). Just thought I'd ask you before it drove me nuts. Thanks!

Bryan Davis said...

Elam's hair is described as shaggy, but it wouldn't be long. That wouldn't have worked out well as a brick maker.

Sarah said...

I wish you would come out to Oregon City sometime! I'd love to meet you!!

Bryan Davis said...

I would like to come to Oregon City if I could get groups in the area to invite me to speak. :-)

Anonymous said...

Mr. Davis
I don't have a facebook, but I do follow your page:). I think it would be awesome to have Elam on the cover:). I really want to know what he looks like:).

Elise said...

Hi Mr.Davis, I have a question. You don't have to answer, i was just curious: is Sapphira or Acacia older? We have a twin set in our family, and i was just wondering:). Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Bryan Davis said...

Elise, I don't think the books ever say who is older. Since they were rooted in soil and taken out as spawns, they weren't born in a normal fashion. They likely split from the same human/plant embryo and were planted at the same time, so it probably isn't possible to say that one is older than the other.

Elise said...

Hi Mr.Davis, i hope i don't bug you with my questions. I was just wondering... you have given us hint's in the Seventh Door about Matt, Bonnie, etc. Anything on Sapphira that you're willing to share? Tell me no if you want, but i had to ask. Or Listener. Or none.

Bryan Davis said...

Nothing on Sapphira yet. I don't know how she's doing.

Anonymous said...

Hey Mr Davis :) you're such an amazing author you're books are so inspiring with the faith your characters show even with everything they go through!
I must say my favorite character is Sapphira I love how strong and pure she is and her story line is so engaging, you developed her character so well. I love her and Elam's relationship!I love reading about Bonnie and her children but I can't help but want more Sapphira! :) and I was just wondering is there going to be much of her in the next two books? sorry, we just love her!

Bryan Davis said...

Sapphira is in book #3, The Seventh Door. I'm not sure if she will be in book #4.

Sarah said...

Why do I get the horrible feeling you might have killed her?

Bryan Davis said...

I don't know.

Elise said...

In response to your facebook post of Walter's room and "Beelzebed", one thing immediately stood out. His room is too clean;). Also the wall looks sort of empty... just sayin'...

Bryan Davis said...

Elise, thank you for the feedback. It is helpful.

Elise said...

I'm glad:)

Anonymous said...

Mr. Davis, I'm just a little bit confused. I just read TBoM, and when Bonnie and Elam meet they act like they've never met before. Does she not remember Markus in TCoS or vice versa? Same with Billy and Naamah(sp?). Anyway, I was just wondering about that.

Bryan Davis said...

Would you please provide the page number in TBoM that you're referring to?

Anonymous said...

Pg. 465

Bryan Davis said...

Yes, I can see how that can be confusing.

Before that meeting, Elam was never introduced to Bonnie as Elam, that is, this is their first meeting without a veil of secrecy.

Notice what Bonnie says on Page 465:

"The pleasure is mine, son of Shem,
grandson of Noah."

It's as though she is emphasizing his true identity, that is, no longer under the guise of Markus.

I could have made that clearer.

Where is the problem with Billy and Naamah?

Anonymous said...

Before I wrote that I didn't take into consideration that in (was it the 4th or 5th circle?)wherever the Eden was she might have been in a disguise. She introduced herself as Naamah, and at the wedding Billy says "Elam's described her to me. That must be Naamah." (That may not be an exact quote :/.) Does that make sense how I discribed it? Reading over it it doesn't make much to me...

Bryan Davis said...

Naamah was disguised when she first met with Billy. It's a bit confusing because she changed her name from Naamah to Elaine and back to Naamah again, so when she was Elaine, "Naamah" was a disguise. Later she returned to the Naamah name and was undisguised when with Elam.

Do you remember this from Tears of a Dragon?

“And why not?” Elaine asked, spreading her arms to display
her perfect figure. “No man ever resisted me before, whether I
chose to wear the face of Naamah or not.” She rubbed a wide
scar on her wrist. “An eye for an eye, a cut for a cut. I will pay
him back for his insult.”

Anonymous said...

Okay, thank you. I actually didn't remember that, but it's ringing a bell now. Thanks for taking the time to explain all this to me.

Our black newfoundland puppy's name is Selah:). I also know a little girl named Selah. I thought it was kinda funny when I read your books.
