Maiden Flight - The Story of Bonnie's First Flight

Maiden Flight, is a chapter-length story from the Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire story world about Bonnie's first flight when she was ten years old. It is now available for the Kindle at Amazon for only 99 cents. Amazon has free programs that allow you to read Kindle files on a computer.

It will also be available in epub format for the Nook and pdf format so you can print it out if you desire. I will post on the blog when they are available.

Link for Maiden Flight - Click here

Link for Kindle readers for computers and other devices - Click here

Whether or not I write more of these stories depends on the success of this one, so please help me by telling others about it. And please don't copy it and send it to others without another purchase.

It is copyrighted, but I didn't put DRM protection on it, because I trust that my readers have integrity and will act accordingly. :-)

Not only is this interesting news, it's unexpected... Lightbulb moment: A whole collection of little backstories like this would be really cool!
Keep up the good work, Mr. Davis! By the way, I'm going to start Song of the Ovulum this weekend, and I can't wait! :)

Loved Maiden Flight and as usual you did an amazing job. You mentioned something about doing more stories like this and I was wondering if you would do "Bonnie's Dreams" from RD. I've always wondered what she wrote and would love to read it

need2read, if you have a computer, you can read this story. Amazon has free programs that allow you to read this file on almost any device.

Thanks for the comments. I don't know if I will write other stories yet or not. It depends on how successful this one is.

Could you put them on your website? Please?

I might cry. I went to Amazon but it wouldn't let me read any more than the first couple of paragraphs. Mr. Davis will you please tell me how to find the book.

readingrocks, the Amazon link for buying the book is on this blog post. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download one of Amazon's free programs that allow you to read a Kindle file on almost any device, including your computer. The link to find those programs is also on this blog post.

As an alternative, you can buy the pdf file directly from me at http://www.daviscrossing.com/maidenflight.htm

That file requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, but that is also free and is already on most computers.

Mr. Davis,

I am sill VERY curious as to if you write more "lost chapters" books and if Maiden Flight will become a real book. This is probably WAY of topic but, I told a family friend about your books and she requested to read them, so I let her borrow them. Even though she has only read one of nine I have from you, she has praised highly about them and loves them. I'm glad that i could share your books with her and thank you for writing them. Each time a re-read them, I discover more than what I did the first time. Can't wait for From the Mouth of Elijah to come out. going to get it for my birthday in August

Sarah, thank you for spreading the word about my books.

I don't know if I will write more lost chapters or not. It depends on the success of this one. If so, maybe there will be a printed collection of them someday. We'll have to wait and see.

I went to amazon.com to look for the books from the series 'Children of the Bard' and came upon a missing chapter on Bonnie's first flight. I was truly exited that there was a new chapter! I don't have a Kindle, and prever to read out of books. Is there maybe-by some chance-going to be a book on all the missing chapters you write?

You don't need a Kindle to read this e-book. Amazon has applications that allow you to read a Kindle book on a computer or other devices. Also, you can get a pdf version that you can print from your computer. You can buy that here - http://www.daviscrossing.com/maidenflight.htm

Whether or not I write more lost chapters depends on sales of this one, so there won't be a book unless sales are good. We'll have to wait and see.
