I have posted about this topic before, but I'm bringing it up again because of another weird event. Here are the related posts:
Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
Do strange things happen to you that make you wonder if you have received some kind of sign? They happen to me quite frequently. Sometimes I figure out that an odd occurrence is a sign, such as the dime and two pennies "coincidences" that I posted about in the links above. Sometimes I don't figure out why it happened and hope I'll learn someday, or maybe there was no reason at all, what we call a mere coincidence.
This past Friday and Saturday I was doing my taxes, which is already a mind-bending experience, and I was going through all my expenses, including my post office receipts for book shipments. I came across this one and gave it more than a double take. Note the circled date and the amount charged. I didn't notice it at the time, but since I was entering the data in a spreadsheet, the numbers really stood out, especially since I wrote a book called Circles of Seven.
A mere coincidence? After all the amazing stories in my life, I'm not ready to assume that. I will keep my eyes open for a meaning.
How about you? Can you relate a strange event that left you wondering? Either tell me about it in a comment, or blog about it and post a link. I'd love to hear your stories.
And if you have a guess about the numbers on my receipt, let me know.

Nothing in my life that I can think of, but I do know of something that someone else told me.
When I lived in Northern Virginia, there was a man who owned a small Christian bookstore in Leesburg called "Alpha and Omega." I always loved going in there, it was such a cute store, and the owner was always really nice.
Eventually the store went out of business and closed down. I ran into the owner a few months later, and he began telling me about the last day, the day the store had closed for good. When he locked the door and turned to look around the store he silently prayed that this was the right thing to do. He had had this store for a long time and loved it, and was so sad that it was closing.
He soon got busy with closing out the register - for the last time. A mess of checks, dollar bills, quarters, dimes, pennies, and nickels - etc. When everything was added up and totaled out, the total read $700 EVEN. Coincidence? I don't think so. :-)
The triple sevens has happened to my mom before; only it was on the display on her car...Either the oil or gas, I can't remember.
Seven is said to be the number of completion.
While out with my mom on our back form college, we saw this car in a parking lot with a license plate that had "666" and some random letters on it. Then, a few cars over, there was a license plate that had "777" on it.
Ain't no such thing as a coincidence. Sorry 'bout the grammar. Or the lack of it.
If I may quote the movie, SIGNS:
"Tell him to SEE."
I think I figured out one maybe for the 7 in regards to DIOM and OoF....I'll email you Mr. D. :D
And this shall be a sign unto you...
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever...
I get so excited when I hear of people who believe that God just might work the same today as He did for thousands of years in the bible. No duh. I just about choked a few years ago when a pastor said he didn't believe in miracles or signs, after telling us in detail an obvious miracle. At the time I did not think it the time or place to say anything, but since I have wished I had.
That is one of my favoriate verses!!! I think it is Heb. 13:8.
I've had a strange experience while praying one night, I don't want to retype everything, I posted it on the DioM forum under the round table, the title is a question
