Last of the Nephilim Finished!

I finished Last of the Nephilim yesterday and turned it into AMG Publishers. It's a relief to have it done, but there is no rest for the weary. I will now turn to the editing process for Eternity's Edge, book #2 of Echoes from the Edge, and when that's done, it will likely be time to start the same process for Last of the Nephilim.

After that, I have to write book #3 of Echoes from the Edge (as yet untitled) and book #4 of Oracles of Fire, The Bones of Makaidos. During this editing and writing period I will be teaching at the Florida Christian Writers' Conference and the Mount Hermon Christian Writers' Conference, and I will be going on promotional tours in Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland, Florida, and New Jersey, as well as local events in Tennessee. I appreciate your prayers for me and my family as this hectic season of life continues.

All of that said, it's time to celebrate. I'm excited about the story and looking forward to readers' reactions, and having it done is a great reason to do something fun here at the Davis home tonight.

Yes, indeed, do something fun tonight! It's no small feat to complete a novel.

Congrats!

That's great! Yes, I admit that you must have a lot to do in the upcoming months, but it's always nice when you complete something big to step back and admire the work you've done.

Yes! I am so excited for it to come out! Tell us what it's about! Will Makaidos be reunited with Thigocia and Ashley? Will Acacia and Sapphira meet again? What about Elam and Sapphira? What about Listener and Acacia? Tell me! Okay, you are really great at building suspension. I can't wait!

Ok ok ok, you have to tell me this ONE thing: since Sapphira has Elam, who does Acacia have? A mysterious newcomer?

Oh, one more thing: Will Billy and Bonnie show up?

Thanks. I'll make an announcement on my blog.

Sapphira Adi, I won't be answering any of your questions. Sorry. They would be spoilers.

Araken, I will tell you that Billy and Bonnie are both in the book. Regarding Acacia, why does she need to "have" somebody? Not everyone does.

Sapphira Adi said...

That is completely fine about no spoilers:) It makes the book even more suspenseful for the wait. I am so excited! I am so excited Billy and Bonnie will show up! Good luck with all the editing for both books!

I can't wait for Last of the Nephilim to come out! Do you have the exact date? It's so hard to wait!!! But I guess the editing process is important.

I love your books so much!! The Eye of the Oracle has been my favorite book yet!! It really encouraged me to grow in my faith and I enjoyed it very much. It is so refrashing to have a book to read with biblical frame work and uplofting passages! Thank you so much! God bless you and you are in my prayers! =]

Anonymous,

No plans right now for southern Illinois. I am driving through there with my family on my way to Iowa in late April, but the only stop I have planned is in central Illinois.

I couldn't imagine accomplishing such a feat as finishing a novel. You should really take some time to celebrate!

Your books have been such an encouraging part of my life. When my grandmother first gave me the first three books, I wasn't quite sure if they were my thing. Now I can't thank my grandma enough for such a wonderful Christmas present! I am looking foward to reading the next chapter in the series. I am very gratful for your hard work and time in making these books that have made such a difference in my life.
