First Sales of The Bones of Makaidos

The Bones of Makaidos is now out in some stores. This is a photo of me at the Salt Shaker bookstore in Enumclaw, Washington, with one of the first purchasers of the book. She created a costume to match the characters on the cover. Very cool!

The official release date is April 1. I'm not sure which stores will have the book that early, but it will help if you call your bookstore right away to make sure they have it on order.

Please report what the stores tell you, and also let me know when you get your own copy.

What does it feel like, now that both Dragons series are done?

Bryan Davis said...

Araken, it feels good, though I haven't been away from the story long enough to know what the long-term effect will be.

My mom preordered a book for me and one for my brother. Both of us are eagerly awaiting their arrival! Sadly, Amazon says we won't be getting it until at least April 13th.
We're hoping it's an exaggeration! :P

Mr. Davis, are you going to send out the books for the contest winners on Monday as well?

Mr. Davis,

Now that you're done with everything in this dragon world, do you think you might ever (and I don't mean like in a year or two but after you have finished the Apocalypse series) do you think you might ever re-visit "Dragons in our Midst" and add some gold leaf to the frame of a masterpiece?

I was able to order the final book today via my parents. Poster of course, too. I'll finally have all 8 posters on my wall! Thanks for the prompt shipping.

I got my copy at LifeWay on the 28th. Apparently they didn't pay attention to the release date. I'm planning on reading it this weekend!

Bryan Davis said...

Colton, I might revisit the story someday, but I hope to wait a little while to let it settle.

How long is Eye of the Oracle? Cuz I know that it's a really thick book. But I don't own it so I can't go looking....Is Bones longer or shorter than it?

Bryan Davis said...

Eye of the Oracle is 609 pages long. The Bones of Makaidos is about 670 pages.

hi mr. davis i have a question. since you are done with both dragons in our midst and oracles of fire do you think you will start writing another series adding onto these to previous series?

Bryan Davis said...

Anonymous, I'm not sure what I will do with the dragon storyline. I might come back to it, but not real soon.

I have another series, Echoes from the Edge, and I'm working on yet another that doesn't have a name yet.

As long as the Lord gives me strength, I will keep writing books, and we'll see later about continuing the dragon story.

thank you for that. and im just starting the echoes from the edge series so ive still got something great to read. i pray that the lord grants you strenth because he has given you this talent for a reason.

My Mom gave me a copy for Easter since I owned them all. =) It was great since I waited for it for so long. I tried to track down a copy since it came out when I was on vacation, but I couldn't. Since I was so dire to read it, I read the 1st Part in 1 day then spread the rest out over 2 days. I love it! I cried 3 times, but 2 times that was because I was so happy. =)
I'm eager for Nightmare's Edge too. When does that come out again?

Bryan Davis said...

Haley, I'm glad you enjoyed "Bones." Nightmare's Edge is scheduled to come out on May 1.
