I signed a contract with Zondervan for a four-book series for young adults. The tentative series title is "Riders of the Apocalypse." Sound like an end-times thriller? Well, it will be a thriller, but it won't be like any end-times story you've ever read before--nothing like Left Behind or The Last Disciple. Even if you don't like end-times stories, you might just like this series, because it might be better to call it an anti-end-times story.
As usual, it will contain strong fantasy elements, but it will stay in the real world, or "real" until the story totally bends the world out of shape. It should be fun. But you'll have to wait quite a while. The first book likely won't arrive until 2010.
As the time for the series draws closer, I will give more details.

Woot! I'm looking forward to this one. I'm already quite intriqued from what you wrote on the forums.
Anti-end times, huh? That will be interesting to see though I currently have no idea what that means.
Yippee! I'm sooo excited! :oD This sounds really cool. I echo the comment before mine.
Sounds interesting!
We're all waiting patiently (maybe) and expectantly (definitly).
I will be interested to see what you come up with, Mr. Davis.
Oh cool! Can't wait for this one!
Ooo I don't know how I'll be able to wait until 2010, but I'm very intrigued! Though I have no clue what you mean by "anti-end times".
What do I mean by "anti-end-times"?
If I revealed that now, all the fun would be lost. :-)
You'll just have to wait and see!
I am definitely looking forward to this series.
Announcing it here makes it all official-sounding!
It is just a guess but could it be that anti-end times means a false Jesus is coming to a city?
Is the the series about the four "horseman" that has been growing on the forum thread?
Galadriel, yes, that's the one.
Anti-end times? Hmmm...no clue what that means but I'm sure I'll love it anyway!! Mayhap it means that they're trying to stop the world from ending, whoever they are!
2010!?!?!?! I can already tell you that this is going to drive me CRAZY!!!! *BIG sigh*
Hi there. Long time no comment. I'm glad to see you are alive and well and going to be at the Florida Christian Writer's Conference! Yippee. I'm also intrigued by this post and your new series. I love this type of literature! Best blessings on your upcoming endeavor.

BTW, my recently adopted son and foster kids love your Dragons in our Midst series just as much as my oldest son did!
BeckyJoie,
Good to hear from you. Glad to hear you're giving my books to your kids!
