Trivia: A bunch of rags? No, they're curtains I found backstage at the performance hall at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. While researching for the book, saw these curtains, and it gave me an idea for the story. It's a good thing for my hero and heroine that they also found these curtains, or it would have been ... ahem ... curtains for them. (Cue the groans)
News: Yesterday I gave away several copies of Beyond the Reflection's Edge to college musicians. They had just finished playing Beethoven's Fifth Symphony with the Memphis University orchestra (a great performance) and joined me to celebrate my birthday. Since the book has music as a strong theme and plot device, I hope musicians will embrace the book and tell other musicians about it.
Reviews:
Harmonizing perils, the gift of true love, and even the sorrows of death takes true literary ingenuity, so I'm not surprised in the least that all of these can be found in Mr. Davis' newest work. I fell in love with all of the vivid characters and was captured by the realistic events that made my emotions rise alongside theirs, as though I was traveling with them beyond the reflection's edge. ~ Tori Sharp, Age 13
After finishing and reflecting on Beyond the Reflection's Edge, I find that there is much more to the book than an engaging fantasy/mystery story. Bryan Davis has caused me to think about my own relationship with the Creator. As someone whose hobby is writing, many statements in this book have reminded me Who I am really writing for. And for all the Kellys out there who are searching for the truth, and for the Nathans facing tumultuous times, I recommend this book wholeheartedly. ~ Luke Gledhill, Age 20

9!?!?! 9?!!?!? We're in the single digit stage?!?! You know an author is good when he holds his readers in suspence and his book hasn't even come out yet!!!

At first I read your joke, and I sat there scratching my head... And THEN it hit me. Very good, at least a seven or eight on the Groan-O-Meter. =D
*groans* Hey, you cued it, I had to oblige :-)
I can't wait! 9 DAYS!! Schweet! I'll be waiting till NJ to buy a copy, though. *hugs*
Yes. Curtains can also be used in dramas to decorate the stage. These curtains give shine to the story of the drama and also seem the reality of the drama set.
